Nvidia RTX

Nvidia RTX series is the newest generation of their graphics cards which is based on the, Turing which is built on the 12nm process. They are the most powerful gaming graphics cards from Nvidia you can get as a consumer card except RTX Titan which I don’t consider a consumer card more like a prosumer card.  They didn’t have great launch because of the damn price like serious Nvidia 1,199 for the 2080ti? I get it that it’s your flagship but almost 400 USD increase in price from the 1080ti MSRP? You might say that it’s because of ray tracing, but I would say it isn’t because people would still be buying it at no matter the price cause of fanbois as they are called.

The new line up features;

Nvidia RTX 2080TI:   1,199 USD

Cuda cores: 4352              RT- ops:78T        Memory speed: 14Gbps          Memory config: 11 GB GDDR6

Nvidia RTX 2080:      799 USD

Cuda cores: 2944              RT- ops:60T        Memory speed: 14Gbps          Memory config: 8 GB GDDR6

Nvidia RTX 2070       599 USD

Cuda cores: 2304              RT- ops:45T        Memory speed: 14Gbps          Memory config: 8 GB GDDR6

Nvidia RTX 2060

Cuda cores: 1920              RT- ops:37T        Memory speed:  14Gbps          Memory config: 6 GB GDDR6

The Turing cards a revolutionary cards which brings Ray tracing in real time which means that games will look a lot better than what they did before. But raytracing os Battlefield V which their OK performance with Raytracing on but does it mean it’s worth having raytracing on? No, I don’t think so but the small but not mediocre visual enhancement it adds is not worth the FPS drop. They are just perfectly fine if they don’t use Raytracing, which Nvidia should have made another lineup without the RTcores and Tenser cores. But they would still be expensive as well they are made by Nvidia. I would expect that if they made a 2080ti without RTX it would be around the same price as a 1080ti when it launched which doesn’t sound too bad.

Gaming performance is really, take a good look at this. The RTX 2080TI is even better than the 3000usd Titan V.

But the thing about the rtx cards is that they are known for failing when they came out. But according to some report is that the main reason for some of those failed cards is that the micron GDDR6 is exceeding the 95c thermal limit.

But Nvidia hasn’t said how many users have been affected by the problem.
